The Blue Door

Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine in an elegant ambiance

What better place can it be for a lovely start
A new Greek Cuisine in the city

The very entrance of the place, the use of colors in interiors, painted blue doors, white textured walls, turquoise cushions and beautiful sit out area with bar counter in one corner makes it look like a perfect place close to the mediterranean culture.
Beautiful blue cushions in the Lobby area

A pleasant place to spend on a sunny afternoon or a rainy evening...
Sit out area

A less known fact about the mediterranean (greek) culture is that they paint their doors, windows, furniture and church domes in turquoise as they believe that this shade of blue keeps evil away ...
Hence the Blue Door.
Sit out area near the main entrance.
Inside the Blue door

Talking abt the food ... im not much of a foodie but then my friends are, so they explored the menu and enjoyed the delicacies of this cuisine.., it seems like a good place to know about the authentic mediterranean (greek) food, the chefs have come all the way from athens which was quite intresting to know.
Sutzukakia .. Mutton kebabs cooked in tomato sauce and served with basmati rice.
Stuffed Chicken is one of the popular dishes served here, and for the veggies, there's Zucchini kefte
Eggplant shoes (veg or mutton), Moussaka (veg or prawn) and Mastiha Pannacotta in desserts  are few other popular dishes server here in Blue door.
And we have Baklava for desserts.

A few other corners of this exotic place that i loved clicking...

Bright and Beautiful..

Later in the evening as it was getting dark..

Blog's name

First things first, I needed a name for the blog and believe me i'm very bad at content writing
and i'm here trying to share my thoughts..

My friends came down to meet me on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, i had nothing
better to do than make them sit and write down names for my blog, plan failed..
Eco-friendly Ganesha @home, Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all :)

Sat up late till night chatting with a dear friend of mine discussing the same,
where she asked me many questions about my likes and dislikes, which helped me think
of a name that resembles more of me and no flashy names.
Friends helping me with names @home

So this is me Mandakini - Turquoise journal and yes Turquoise is my favorite color and accessory.
